We are excited to introduce the Confirmation plan for 2020-21! We’ve designed this year’s Confirmation to be safe, manageable, and flexible, while limiting online/screen content and finding ways to connect youth with each other, parents/guardians, and adult mentors.
NEW! When you click "Register for this Event" below, you will be prompted to create a log-in to be used for this registration and all future St. Andrew's events through our new registration system. Click the blue "Log In" and then "Register" to create an account.
Our format moves away from large group gatherings and focus on small group connections (in person when possible) and youth and parent/adult relationships:
Fall: Small Groups and At-Home Learning
Winter: Small Groups and At-Home Learning (or alternative)
Spring: Lenten Mentor Program and Closing Celebrations
Youth choose one of two options when registering:
(1) Wednesday Track: For 7th & 8th graders continuing on Wednesdays and new 6th graders choosing Wednesday. In a six-week block, small groups will be meet in-person twice in St. Andrew’s new Fellowship Hall, assigned to either a 5:30 or 7:30 p.m. gathering time. The other four weeks will be At-Home Learning for youth and parents/guardians to do together; options will be provided for brief conversations and learning – then choose to “Level Up” with additional activities. Details for safe in-person gatherings will be emailed to families. The Wednesday Track will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
(2) Sunday Online Track: For 7th & 8th graders continuing from last year’s Sunday Track, new 6th graders choosing Sunday, and anyone who’d like an online-only option. Youth will meet online on Sunday afternoons, 4-5 p.m., including breakouts into small groups. The Sunday Online Track will begin Sunday, Oct. 11.
A Confirmation Orientation video for 7th & 8th graders will be released on Wednesday, Oct. 7, emailed to all registered families. (There will be no in-person or online gathering this day. 6th grade orientation occurred as part of Confirmation Kickstart in September.)
Registration fee is $60 per youth (significantly reduced this year to support our families). Because we want everyone to participate, further financial assistance is available. Simply type SCHOLARSHIP into the discount box as you register.
