Learn and grow in your faith through our popular Confirmation Camp, held at Camp Wapo (for 6th and 7th graders) and next door at Ox Lake (for 8th graders). It’s a week not to be missed!
Camp looks different this year: Youth will be assigned to a cabin/family group of 10 or fewer (plus leaders) for all activities, including Bible studies, worship, free-time games, beach activities, and meals. Groups will not mix during the week (exceptions possible for outdoor worship, with physical distancing in place). This year camp is about a small group experience and really getting to know each other while exploring God’s beautiful creation!
Ages/Grades: For youth completed Grades 6-8. Limited space is available (46 spots for 6th graders, 51 spots for 7th graders, 36 spots for 8th graders).
Due to the unique design of camp, we will not have a camp leader program for high school youth this year. Adults, young adults, and select youth will lead our cabin groups. We’re planning for our camp leader program to return in 2022.
Cost: $335 per person. This amount is reduced from the true cost thanks to the generosity of church members who support youth ministries. You are able to make a down payment of $175. To do so click the + sign in the box under event fees and then uncheck the remaining balance box. Financial assistance is available for additional support. To request a scholarship or payment plan, enter “PLAN” in the code box on the registration form and we’ll be in touch.
COVID Safety: We value the safety and well-being of our youth, volunteers, staff, and ministry partners, so we’re asking everyone to do their part by following our Youth Ministries Summer 2021 Safety Plan. Registering for summer events assumes a commitment to follow these guidelines, which includes limiting physical contact prior to trips and pre-trip COVID testing. Please review these guidelines prior to registering.
At this time, we intend our summer programs will continue as planned. We’ll communicate with families should there be changes.
Transportation: Transportation to and from camp will be provided by families this year. Check in begins at Camp Wapo at 8 a.m. Monday morning. A pre-check in opportunity will be held at St. Andrew’s on Sunday especially for parents/guardians who cannot bring their child to camp. (In this case, other adults may bring them to camp on Monday. Youth may carpool ONLY with those in their cabin group.)
Registration: Click “Register for this Event” to begin the registration process. If you have a St. Andrew’s Connect account, be sure to sign in first.
Confirmation Camp requires a SECOND registration step to complete Camp Wapo’s health information and release forms. The link for completing this step will be emailed to families after May 1.
