Join us for a mission trip into the beautiful mountain land of Denver, Colorado!
During the day we’ll engage in service learning adventures in and around the city with various ministry partners, witnessing how God is at work in this community. (Be prepared for anything! Sites will be determined with our site coordinator based on current needs of local organizations.) We’ll stay overnight at the Messiah Mountain Retreat Center, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains west of town. The trip will be led by Josh Carlson, Middle School Youth Minister, and other adult leaders.
Youth will be assigned to a small group of 10 or fewer (plus 2 adult leaders) who will participate in ALL activities together – travel, meals, serving with ministry partners, overnight sleeping, free-time activities, and more. The two groups will not mix during the trip.
Ages/Grades: For youth completed Grades 6-8. Limited space is available (20 spots).
Cost: $400 per person. This amount is significantly reduced from the true cost thanks to the generosity of church members who support youth ministries. Financial assistance is available for additional support. You can make a down payment of $225. To do so, click the + sign in the box under event fees and then uncheck remaining balance box. COVID Safety: We value the safety and well-being of our youth, volunteers, staff, and ministry partners, so we’re asking everyone to do their part by following our Youth Ministries Summer 2021 Safety Plan. Registering for summer events assumes a commitment to follow these guidelines, which includes limiting physical contact prior to trips and pre-trip COVID testing. Please review these guidelines prior to registering.
Once on the trip, youth and adults essentially form a “family/household” group and thus following our plan is key to everyone’s health and safety.
At this time, we intend our summer programs will continue as planned. We’ll communicate with families should there be changes.
Transportation: Van transportation will be provided by St. Andrew’s to and from Denver, each van with up to 10 youth and 2 adults. Van groups will be the same small groups that travel, serve, eat, and stay overnight together for the entire trip.
