Presentation Preview

· David: “The Most Reluctant Convert: This talk traces the spiritual journey of C. S. Lewis from a “foul-mouthed atheist” in his teens and twenties to one of the most influential Christian writers of the 20th century. After wandering through mazes of materialism, occultism, and pantheism, Lewis rejoined the household of faith in his early 30s, becoming an effective Christian apologist precisely because he had weighed so many alternative philosophies and found them wanting.

· Crystal: “The Most Scandalous Prophet”: Dorothy L. Sayers profoundly influenced the spiritual life of Lewis—but not before causing one of the biggest religious scandals to rock 20th century England. This talk explains how Sayers became a reluctant prophet, leading thousands to take Christianity seriously for the first time in their lives. Just as she mentored Lewis’s faith, she can guide skeptics and believers today into culture-changing Christianity.
